My wife Sandy and I have had the pleasure of being the guests of Klaus and Karen at there beautiful Sandestin/Miramar Beach, Florida home.
Spending time with Klaus is an honor as he himself is an icon in the world of LGB trains. He has literally been there from day one and has so many stories to tell about the people he knew personally that were associated with LGB in Germany and it's rich history. His knowledge of all of the LGB products and his ability to solve and repair everything LGB is amazing as well as his expertise of DCC and the digital world. He has laid hands on several of my locomotives and I am nothing less than totally happy. He also has a trove of stories about having been a pilot for Lufthansa Airlines. Karin is also very well versed in most things LGB and has interesting stories also.
Karin and Klaus are wonderful hosts and until you have been treated to one of Karen's dinners, you have not been to heaven on earth. Dinner at their home is an event in itself. Breakfast is an event also and then it is off to the workshop, which is better equipped than Santa's, or off to a day of adventure.
If you have the opportunity to take advantage of this offer, I would highly suggest that you put it on your "bucket list" and get it done ASAP.
Respectfully, Dennis Cipcich
